Black Magic Tech Talk @MEWShop

In the world of production and post production, it can be difficult deciding between all of your camera options and figuring out the workflow that is right for you and your specific project. Filmmakers today need to know how to examine their choices and not settle for something that doesn’t suit their needs.

In this presentation, Bob Caniglia will examine the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera, Blackmagic Cinema Camera, Blackmagic Production Camera 4K, and DaVinci Resolve color correction. Bob will discuss the cameras' features, different applications, use cases and workflows, and will explain how to find the camera that’s just right for you. He will also explain the seamless workflow from the cameras into DaVinci Resolve, and how powerful and intuitive DaVinci Resolve is as a color corrector.

Blackmagic Design’s digital cinema cameras provide a true feature film look. At an affordable cost, they allow users to break free from the “video look” associated with video cameras that offer limited contrast range, heavy video compression for file recording and inefficient workflows. The Blackmagic Cinema Camera and Production Camera 4K include a copy of DaVinci Resolve, and Blackmagic Design offers DaVinci Resolve Lite as a free download on its website.
