The Manhattan Edit Workshop (MEWShop) has announced the return of “Sight, Sound and Story: The Art of Cinematography,” which will take place on December 6 at the NYIT Auditorium Theater on Broadway.

This year’s event showcases some of the industry’s best cinematographers, who have shot such feature films as Wedding Crashers, Home Alone and Pitch Perfect; TV shows including DaredevilThe Night Of, House of Cards and Blindspot; and award-winning documentaries including Kurt & Courtney, Dixie Chicks: Shut Up & Sing, The Central Park Five and most of Ken Burns’ library of films.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from such industry leaders as Zeiss, Adorama, Vimeo, VER, ARRI, Tiffen Steadicam, Glyph, OWC and Padcaster, at the Networking Party & Tech Lounge.

“We are beyond excited to include cinematographers of this level combined with a who’s who of technology companies that will be in one room for one evening,” says MEWShop President Jason Banke. “For New York filmmakers and DPs, this is the can’t-miss event of the year to learn, get inspired and network.”

The evening’s speakers include cinematographers Julio Macat, ASC (Wedding Crashers, Home Alone, Pitch Perfect, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective), Joan Churchill, ASC (Shut Up & Sing, Kurt & Courtney, Last Days in Vietnam), Buddy Squires, ASC (The Vietnam War, The Statue of Liberty, The Central Park Five), Martin Ahlgren (Daredevil, House of Cards, Blindspot), Igor Martinović (House of Cards, The Night Of), David Leitner (moderator) and Hugo Perez (moderator).
