Manhattan Edit Workshop Presents: Troubleshooting with Avid Media Composer & Avid Symphony

Manhattan’s foremost post-production training facility now offers a NEW advanced course in Avid Media Composer & Avid Symphony

New York, NY – March 5, 2015 - Starting this month, Manhattan Edit Workshop (MEWShop) will be adding a new troubleshooting workshop to it’s line up of Avid® workshops - Troubleshooting with Avid Media Composer & Avid Symphony. “This course addresses a much needed, but often overlooked component in the editors skill set - the unforeseen technical issues that invariably come with every job. If we can address these scenarios and provide solutions in a classroom environment, we can take some of that headache out of the workplace,” says MEWShop Owner Josh Apter.  To keep up with the growing demand for technical support, we created a class specifically for troubleshooting with both Avid Media Composer and Avid Symphony.  This two-day class is designed for editors, assistant editors and post-production supervisors to minimize the potential downtime caused by system errors and give every project the valuable editing time it requires.   This class will enable editors to be better prepared for handling Avid error codes, troubleshooting for hardware and software and other technical pitfalls that can hinder the overall creative process.

Topics include:

-In-Depth Avid Media Composer Software Troubleshooting with Hardware Troubleshooting overview

-Basic ISIS Management and Troubleshooting

-Basic Interplay Management and Troubleshooting

-Basic Network Troubleshooting

-Log Gathering and Communication with Avid for best results
