About the Six-Week Intensive Workshop

The Six-Week Intensive Workshop is MEWShop’s flagship program designed to give aspiring editors the technical skills, creative foundation, and professional tools needed for a successful career in post-production. Students receive hands-on instruction in Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve, the three industry-standard editing platforms, all taught by certified instructors with real-world experience.

In addition to mastering these applications, students also focus on career development, with dedicated sessions on writing resumes and cover letters, preparing for interviews, understanding rate structures, and navigating the freelance and staff job markets. These practical tools help graduates transition directly into the workforce with confidence.

The program also provides the opportunity to earn Avid Certification, offering tangible career benefits:

·       Industry Recognition – Validate your skills and gain credibility in the eyes of employers and peers.

·       Career Advancement – Strengthen your résumé with a recognized credential that can help unlock new job opportunities.

·       Professional Distinction – Share digital badges and certificates across your LinkedIn, website, and portfolio to stand out in a crowded field.

A dedicated Avid certification prep session is included in the course, and those who pass the exam will receive the title of Avid Certified Specialist, an asset that can give participants a competitive edge in the job market.

The upcoming Six-Week Intensive Workshop runs from June 23 to August 1, 2025, available both in-person in NYC and live online, Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM ET. As part of the program, students will have exclusive access to interact with Editor Debby Germino, ACE, in small group sessions and live discussions.
