New York, New York - Manhattan Edit Workshop (MEWShop) invites aspiring editors and post-production professionals to participate in an exclusive educational experience with Emmy-nominated film and television editor Christopher Capp. This unique opportunity combines hands-on technical training, creative mentorship, and career-focused guidance as part of MEWShop’s renowned Six-Week Art of Editing Intensive, beginning January 12, 2026.
Designed to bridge the gap between education and industry, the program offers students direct access to a working editor whose career spans major studio films, independent features, and acclaimed television series. Through intimate group sessions and live discussions, participants will gain insight into professional workflows, creative decision-making, and the realities of building a sustainable career in post-production.
Christopher S. Capp is an accomplished film and television Editor. He began his career in physical production at the indie production company Hemdale, where he cut his teeth on his first feature film “Hoosiers” directed by David Anspaugh starring Gene Hackman and Dennis Hopper. After three years of supporting production on set, he shifted his focus to sculpting films from behind the scenes, moving into the Editorial Department.
Christopher is best known for his work as Editor on “The Hunger Games” (Dir. Gary Ross), “Honeymoon” (Dir. Leigh Janiak), and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” (Dir. David Blue Garcia). His television work includes “Goosebumps” (Seasons 1-2), which earned him a 2025 Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Editing for a Single-Camera Live Action Program. Additional television credits include “Bel-Air” (Season 1), “Cruel Intentions” (Season 1), and “The Good Fight” (Season 1). His work as a visual effect editor includes “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.”
A graduate of Loyola Marymount University’s Film and Television program, Christopher most recently collaborated with Fernando Meirelles on “Sugar” (Season 2) for Apple TV.
