Manhattan Edit Workshop Announces Amy E. Duddleston, ACE as Artist in Residence for Spring 2026

New York, NY — Manhattan Edit Workshop (MEWShop) is proud to announce Amy E. Duddleston, ACE, as its next Artist in Residence, leading MEWShop’s flagship Six-Week Art of Editing Intensive beginning March 9, 2026.

An immersive and career-focused program, the Art of Editing Intensive blends advanced technical training with creative mentorship from working industry professionals. Running March 9 – April 17, 2026, the program is offered in-person in New York City and live online, Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET.

Students receive hands-on instruction in Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve, taught by certified instructors with extensive real-world post-production experience. Beyond software mastery, the program emphasizes professional readiness through dedicated career development sessions covering résumé and cover letter writing, interview preparation, freelance versus staff career paths, and strategies for navigating today’s post-production job market with confidence.

About Amy E. Duddleston, ACE

Amy E. Duddleston brings over 30 years of experience in feature film and television editing. She began her career as an Apprentice Editor and rose through the ranks as an Assistant Editor on films including My Own Private IdahoCorrina, Corrina, and To Die For.

As an editor, her feature credits include The First OmenHigh ArtLaurel CanyonElegy, and Gus Van Sant’s remake of Psycho. Her television work spans more than 90 hours of scripted series, including DexterThe KillingVidaLove & Death, and Mare of Easttown, for which she received two Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Editing for a Limited Series, won an Eddie Award from American Cinema Editors, and received a Cut Above Award from the British Film Editors.

Most recently, Duddleston edited episodes of the HBO limited series Task, starring Mark Ruffalo and Tom Pelphrey, and the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series Imperfect Women, starring Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington, and Kate Mara.

She has been a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild since 1991 and served six years on its Board of Directors. She is also a member of American Cinema Editors (ACE)AMPAS, and the Television Academy. Duddleston holds a BFA in Fine Arts Studies from the University of Arizona and lives in Los Angeles.
